Life is a Soundtrack
I just finished to read very boring article so I had to do something with my brain. Besides I really needed a reason to listen something what wouldn't be Maria Grazia Schiavo. Okay, okay, I'm listening her again.

So, meme. Snagged from [ profile] _cuethepulse.

So, the concert was amazing. Seriously, I was expecting something really fantastic, I know these artist but yesterday they were just brilliant. I'm a big fan of Europa Galante, Fabio Biondi, Maria Grazia Schiavo and Phillipe Jarrousky. Everyone were great. The orchestra sounded like one instrument, sound of Fabio's violins were so pure and Maria Grazia was unbelievable. I couldn't breathe and I was dying on almost every of her arias. And her last aria was perfect, just perfect and I don't think I can find some words to describe it. Come on, I can listen her all the time. Phillipe Jarrousky was amazing too. He has a phenomenal voice and yesterday his arias were one of the best in this evening.

The audience gave the artist standing ovation some 10 second after the last sound. I'm not sure how long this ovation was but I think it was at least 10 minutes. And you know, it is incredible in Cracow because it is really hard to force Cracow audience to standing ovation and this ovation after 10 seconds is something really fantastic. The concert hall was full. And I think the Opera RARA project achieved success and I'm sure Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme by Jean Baptiste Lully which will be performed in June won't be the last opera in this project.

Before the concert we had a lot of trouble with flights and this one lost luggage (which arrived today morning). There was horrible fog in Cracow yesterday and planes can't land in Cracow, almost every plane was landing in Warsaw and Catherine von Mutius, manager of Jordi Savall who will be in Cracow on Misteria Paschalia in April, arrived to Warsaw and had to come to Cracow by the train alone becuase we didn't even have time to send someone to pick her up. So, instead of wait for her on the airport I went with Ian, Christine, Fabio, Filip and Robert to the new Opera House and had a trip. I don't like this opera too much but the acustic is just great, really better than in the concert hall. And I can't wait for some opera with Europa Galante there. With costumes and everything this time.

And it's great I can know them and they remember me. Yesterday Maria Grazia said 'see you in April', today Ian, Christine and Fabio said it too and it is really nice when they thank you for everything and tell your job was great. And it's nice even if it's just my and I love it.

I can't wait for April and Misteria Paschalia. All week of fantastic concerts. I'm waiting for this all year.

artistic heaven
I just found it. Stabat Mater by Pergolesi. It's my favourite Stabat Mater. And this is interesting thing. This work is originally for soprano and alto. This performence is for soprano by Maria Grazia Schiavo (yeah, I kind of obsessed right now) and sopranist countertenor by Philippe Jaroussky (who also will sing today on the concert in Cracow). And yeah, originally this work is for two female voices and it this case part of alt is singed by men voice. Which is really interesting. By the way Philippe Jaroussky is the best sopranist countertenor in the world so he and Maria Grazia singing together is like some kind of artistic heaven for me.

So, here they are: Sancta Mater, Quis est Homo, Fac ut portem, Amen, Inflammatus et accensus.

a little naughty girl
Today I spent half of my day on the airport. First, Ewelina and I picked up Europa Galante with Fabio Biondi and the soloists. Of course, one of the musicians lost his luggage and we had to wait for him. But it's a normal thing, I don't even remember the festival without at least one lost luggage, so we just said it's okay and it happens all the time and everything was fine. Okay, excluding the weather. There was terribly cold and it was raining. After that we had a problem with packing two really huge contra-basses.

Ian, the manager of Fabio Biondi and Europa Galante, is wonderful. I met him two years ago for the first time. It was also my first work on the festivals in Cracow. He's very funny guy who talks all the time, his sense of humour is really great. I really like to talk with him. Well, okay, I don't know who doesn't.

Anyway, I had one more transfer from the airport than it was planning 'cause Maria Grazia Schiavo, one of the best baroque soprano in the world, arrived later. She's terribly disorganized but I really love her. She's always smiling, she's very nice and funny and she sings so awesome that sometimes I can't even breathe. I met her the first time on last Misteria Paschalia festival and I just needed a few seconds for loving her voice. After fifteen minutes of that concert I said Ewelina I'm Maria Grazia's fan. So, she arrived later and I went for the airport again to pick her up. And I had some kind of déjà vu because she arrived with the same scarf, cap and I'm almost sure in the same jacket as last year.

After that we had a rehearsal and it finished very late. But I kind of love this job. Even if I have no time for eating. And what was funny... Ian, of course, who made fun of Maria-Grazia, was telling her she just should sit on the chair and be a good girl (I don't think she knows what it means, hey, it's just like me) and called her naughty girl or stupid soprano. No, she's not stupid, she's just an artist.

You can listen to her here. It's the aria of Idaspe in the opera Bajazet from Antonio Vivaldi. It's just awesome. I heard that opera on Misteria Paschalia in last year. You can also listen to her here. And here you can also see her.

Tomorrow it's the concert and I can't wait for that. I was listening fragments of the rehearsal and it sounded just fantastic. As always.

Pierwszy nastąpił, kiedy przeglądałam tegoroczną stronę Sacrum Profanum i znalazłam to i to.

I oh my God! Był taki odcinek CSI: New York!!!

we're shutting up and shooting

Boo. Nie nauczyli. I dzisiaj wreszcie Ju strzelała. Yay! Spełnianie swoich marzeń jest fajne.

No więc, byłyśmy na strzelnicy, wymiotłyśmy, panowie nas polubili, a nasze cele nie przeżyły. Wielokrotnie. Mój cel już wisi nad łóżkiem. Jak siostra wróci, to mnie zabije.

Wynik: 14/17.
Zawsze chciałam to zrobić.
